A night at the CARNIVAL!

The carnival is in our town. We went to it on Friday. Some of my friends were there. We rode lots of rides! I had a LOT of fun! We were there for 4 1/2 hours. Cole spent the night with me and we were very tired! I LOVE the carnival!

It's GEOCACHING time!

Our family has found the game of GEOCACHING! It is fun! We have found 5 caches so far! My best friend Cole went with us on Saturday. He had fun too! I really like this game of geocaching! Can't believe this is a game for grown-ups... I want to find lots and lots of caches!

Today, I am a 4th grader! I am in Mrs. McDonald's class. She is very nice. We change classes this year. I have a new Texas Tech backpack and new black under-armor shoes. I think I will really like the 4th grade.

We are going to our VBS this week. I brought my best friend Cole with me. My dad and brother are my leaders! We are learning about "Jesus; The Perfect Hero". My mom, dad and grandma made everyone Super Hero capes. We are having fun!

AR trip to Wonderland Park

We had so much fun at Wonderland Park. Everyone that had a 100 points or more in AR at school was awarded a trip to Amarillo! My mom and dad went also. We had fun!

My 2nd Piano Recital

Today was my 2nd Piano Recital. Friday was the second time to play before "The Judge" in Quanah. It was hard, but I did good. I didn't receive any "A" and got all "C" - 20 of them! I had a score of 96% on my score card for the Piano Guild. I am taking a break with piano during the summer.

This week I took the Math TAKS test! I wore my "Lucky" shirt that my mom bought me on the day of the test. My shirt says "I'm not lucky, I'm good!" I survived the TAKS for this year in 3rd grade

Medieval Times

This was the BEST ever show in the world! We went to the Medieval Times in Dallas, TX. We ate our dinner with our hands, watched a real horse & knight show where they used real swords and it was SO COOL! We had a great time!

This year was my first year participating in LTC (Leaders in Training for Christ). Our church went to Dallas, TX and competed! It was fun - but I AM TIRED! I did 10 events in LTC! I have a plaque, 10 metals, 2 shirts and lots of "memories" of my first LTC trip!

Our 3rd Grade Performance

On Tuesday night, my class (3rd graders) put on our performance using the DDR. We have been practicing with these since the first of the year - January. DDR is "Dance, Dance Revolution". It is a stepping pad that you step on as you watch a video game that sings and dances to a selected song. Our team were group 1 boys - but we got beat! At the end of the performance, my dad got up there to step on the DDR in front of everyone. It was funny.

At GRAN's Mongolian Buffet, I got to try some really weird stuff to eat. I tried to eat these cheesy clam things - nope. Next I tried to eat some sushi - no way. A baby squid was NOT going into my mouth... so I ate sweet 'n sour fried chicken pieces and ICE CREAM. Watching the flame chef in the sushi bar was super cool! I would like to be a chef and do fancy things like that!

My 1st Sonatina Festival

I played in my first Sonatina Festival and received a "SUPERIOR" rating. I was so surprised. I was very nervous. There were lots of Childress students there and Mr. Monson that helped me not to be so scared. I was one of 2 to get that high of an rating from Childress. My mom and dad were proud of me. I did like to play at the Sonatina - AFTER I did it! (But I did have to wear a suit - YUK)

The "Week-end Bear" Beary

and Red Thing!

Back in kindergarten, I got to take home and write a book about my adventures with the Week-end Bear. By Monday, I had to have my own

bear - so we went and found his twin at Wal-Mart and Beary has been with us ever since! Here is Beary's favorite spot to sleep - right by my bed in my nightstand drawer!

Next, is my very MOST FAVORITE thing (shhhh! don't tell Beary!) "RED THING" He came into my life when I was a baby as my bumper pad. I got use to holding and snuggling with this every night. As I got older - my mom cut him into several pieces for better holding. I have clothes, coats - even a costume for Red Thing. One time, I even lost him at Wal-Mart; but some friends found him on a shelf and brought him home! They just knew who Red Thing

belonged too! Red Thing is going to go to college with me - he's already a Red Raider fan and has TTU clothes. I love my Red Thing and Beary! These are two of my most favorite things!

This weekend, I played with my cousins and on a Wii fit board. This was something new. We don't have a Wii board - but now I want one! I ran a looooong time following my guide on the Wii. I tried to skateboard, walk a tightrope and I even tried to snow ski! We all had fun!

I have 4 people in my family (MOM, DAD, ME and ALEX). I love them so very much. I don't know what I'd do with out them. I have 2 brothers (Andy and Alex). Andy is in College. Alex is in 6th grade. I am in 3rd grade. My MOM and DAD work at high school. My dad is special because he helps me do my homework when I need help. My mom is special because she always gives me hugs and kisses and she never runs out of them. Alex is very special to me because without him I would have no one to play with and I would be lonely. Andy is special to me because he takes me and Alex fishing every time he comes here (except in the winter). That's my good, helping family!

I'm going to third grade this year. My teacher is Miss Stewart. I hope it will be a good year this year. I'm about to find out 'cause in a few days school is starting. All of my friends are in different class just like last year. My friend Timmon is in my class. Cole is in Mrs. Jenschke's class. He is my best friend. Kooper is in Mrs. Pott's class. He is also my best friend. I think it is going to be a great year! Except for the TAKS test.
